Screen sharing solution to present content on students’ screen.
Splashtop Classroom is a software that allows instructors to share their screen with students and can be used as a replacement for projectors and screens in the classroom. Students can benefit from Splashtop’s collaboration features: once connected, students can view, control and annotate over lesson content directly from their own devices.
This page provides guidance on how to use Splashtop for University of Edinburgh staff and students.
How to Use
Splashtop Classroom provides the flexibility for instructors and students to either use university managed PCs which requires no setup, or install Splashtop on their personal devices for convenience.

Instructors need a Splashtop account and the Splashtop Streamer software to start sharing their screen. Once an account has been made, any Windows or Mac PC can be used to start a sharing session as long as the device is connected to Eduroam on university network.
However, no setup is required in ‘Splashtop Enabled’ rooms where Splashtop is already installed and set-up.
